ree

Welcome to the first edition of “Where Are They Now,” a series spotlighting the achievements and forward momentum of our incredible speakers and their teams. In this inaugural volume, we catch up with Chris Isaac, CEO of SpaceAM, to explore the company’s recent milestones - including securing early-stage funding, advancing probe technology, and joining a prestigious accelerator.

From prototype deliveries to exciting partnerships, Chris gives us a behind-the-scenes look at what’s next for SpaceAM and their mission to innovate in planetary exploration. Read the insights below.

Have there been any major milestones or breakthroughs in your work or research recently?

Since talking at SPACEtalks 2025, we have secured our first private VC pre-seed funding.

SpaceAM has also delivered the initial working prototypes of the Venus LEVL probe systems to MIT in the United States for concept testing.

Can you share any updates on the project or idea you discussed during SPACEtalks?

SpaceAM has successfully completed the first round of trials for the integrated wind sensors on the LEVL probes, as well as the initial full-scale drop tests on Earth using LEVL probes with full payload weight to collect flight data.

What’s something you’ve accomplished recently that you’re particularly proud of?

We have just accepted a place in the UK Space Agency's LEO Accelerator Program 2025.

What developments in the space tech world have excited or surprised you most this year?

Off-planet computer server farms.

Are there any challenges the space sector is facing that you think aren’t getting enough attention?

Really, government funding is very limited in the UK.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with the community or highlight?

SPACEtalks provided us with a direct platform to communicate with the European Space Agency and helped us engage with the wider UK space sector

Chris Isaac and the SpaceAM team are clearly on an impressive trajectory. They’re actively pushing the boundaries of planetary tech, navigating the early startup landscape, and making meaningful connections through platforms like SPACEtalks. Their progress is a testament to what’s possible when vision meets opportunity. We’re proud to see our speakers making waves in the space sector and look forward to following their journey as they continue to break new ground.

Stay tuned for more stories from the SPACEtalks network where bold ideas meet real-world impact.
