Could you provide some insights into your background and experiences within the space industry?


Prior to joining the VC-world, I held a senior engineering position at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), where I was responsible for the design and development of MASCOT, an asteroid lander jointly developed by DLR and the Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES) for the Hayabusa2 mission of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). Before that, I worked as an officer in the German Air Force on topics ranging from missile defense and unmanned aerial vehicles up to ISR projects. 


 

Which trends or recent advancements in space technology do you find most exciting or promising?


The advent of fully reusable heavy launch vehicles marks a decisive inflection point in the further development of a self-sustaining in-space economy.


 

In your opinion, are there specific sectors within the space technology industry that stand out as particularly appealing for potential investors?


In-orbit servicing and manufacturing is the next big thing next to in-orbit logistics.
